The SHODH Scheme
In the realm of higher education, the synergy between research and development acts as a catalyst for progress, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of nations. Understanding this pivotal role, the Department of Education, Government of Gujarat, has orchestrated a revolutionary initiative – the Scheme Of Developing High-quality Research (SHODH). Guided by the profound wisdom of APJ Abdul Kalam, “The best Research will give the best teaching and the best teaching will give the best Research,” this scheme emerges as a beacon of opportunity, empowering young research scholars and amplifying the State’s research capacity.
Unveiling SHODH: A Gateway to Excellence
Empowering Research Scholars
At its core, SHODH aims to provide a nurturing environment for research scholars pursuing their Ph.D. degrees in diverse fields such as Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Law, and Education. By facilitating qualitative research, the scheme propels these scholars towards academic excellence.
Financial Support for Pioneering Research
Recognizing the financial hurdles faced by Ph.D. students engaged in qualitative research, SHODH extends crucial financial support. This assistance ensures that scholars can wholly immerse themselves in their research pursuits, unburdened by financial constraints.
Fostering High-Quality Research
The SHODH initiative stands as a testament to Gujarat’s commitment to fostering high-quality research. By nurturing an environment where innovation and inquiry thrive, the scheme actively contributes to the State’s research landscape.
